Born and raised in northern Iceland, Birna Eyfjörð is a composer, songwriter, producer, and performer who tells stories through music. Inspired by her surroundings and personal experiences, she blends cinematic soundscapes with soul, R&B, and emotive songwriting, crafting both instrumental and vocal pieces that feel personal and real.

Under the mentorship of renowned composer Atli Örvarsson, she honed her skills in film composition, and later refined her vocal and songwriting abilities through advanced studies at Berklee College of Music.

Today, Birna works across multiple musical disciplines — composing for film and television, producing her own music, and writing and performing original songs — while actively collaborating within Iceland’s musical community, including the artist network Tónhylur. Her recent projects include scoring for Icelandic television series such as Íslensk SakamálSeason 2 and Kennarastofan, a theater production (Halastjarna), and several short films.
